Does it earn a slot? Yes — it's the scarcest item that opens the most doors. The repair kit fixes the sedan (the escape's true bottleneck — even Annie's keyless start needs one), any car Michael breaks, and destroyed phone lines and power/fuse boxes — and it's widely reported as scarce.
The hidden use everyone misses
The CB radio needs power. The guaranteed Dr. Loomis respawn requires the radio's house to have power and a working phone line — both things Michael destroys (his destroy-beats-disable doctrine exists precisely to force repair kits). A repair kit held in reserve is your team's resurrection insurance, not just car parts.
Spending it well
- Triage before you spend. Sedan, CB-radio house, or a Special Target house's power — the kit does one of these. Which one wins depends on the night; decide with the team, not on reflex.
- Michael re-breaks. The sedan can be sabotaged again after repair; endgame teams sometimes want a second kit standing by (driving the sedan).
- The known bug: sedan repairs sometimes fail to register — kit used, car still complaining. See the fix page before you burn a second kit.
