Driving the sedan: the escape that takes a driver

Updated Sep 11, 2026v1.0.1Verified1 min read

The sedan is the escape with a steering wheel: repair kit + sedan keys + gas can, and then — the part plans forget — somebody has to drive it out of town, which means that somebody escapes with it. It's the highest-capacity single exit in the game and the only one Michael can sabotage twice.

The chain

  1. Find the car with the hood open. That's the sedan escape, waiting on parts.

  2. Repair kit first. The scarce item and the true bottleneck. Annie starts the car without keys — but nothing skips the repair. Her famous trait saves less than it sounds like.

  3. Keys and gas. Sedan keys highlight yellow and can be dropped by the car for teammates; the gas can fuels it (and swings as a weapon in a pinch).

  4. Load and leave. Residents can be loaded in and driven out — capacity on wheels. The driver escapes too, so the driver should be the teammate whose night is done, not your escort anchor.

Michael and the car

He can break the car again after the repair — the repair kit fixes it again, so late-game teams sometimes want a second kit standing by. Whether Michael can drive a car himself is hearsay one veteran had heard and never seen; we file it as an open question. Unverified

The known bug

Sedan repairs can fail to register — kit applied, car still demanding repairs. It's reported from raw match footage and has its own fix page with what players try. Budget patience for it.
