If your Prestige challenges disappeared or stopped responding on September 10, 2026: that's the game working as currently intended. The developers disabled them server-side while investigating issues, with the fix planned for an upcoming patch. This page exists because the symptom looks exactly like a local bug — and it isn't one.

What happened

The official announcement (September 10, via @HalloweenTVG) named Prestige challenges specifically: temporarily disabled, pending a patch. Coverage of the announcement itself is in our news post; what Prestige is (and isn't) is covered in Prestige & progression.

What to do

Nothing — genuinely. In particular, don't:

  • Reinstall, verify files, or clear saves for this. The switch is on their side; local surgery risks your own setup for zero benefit.
  • Buy into "workarounds" circulating in comments. Any post claiming a client-side re-enable trick is wrong at best.
  • Assume regular challenge issues are the same thing — non-Prestige tracking problems are a separate (real) issue: challenges not counting.

What we're watching

  • The patch that re-enables the system — it'll appear in the patch tracker and this page's status will flip to Fixed with the version number.
  • Whether disabled-period progress retroactively counts once re-enabled. Unknown; don't grind toward Prestige goals on the assumption it will. Unverified
