Chapter 2 covers Michael's road back toward Haddonfield, and mechanically it's the stealth-indicators chapter: this is where the game formally teaches Surprise states and alert escalation. Its descriptive framing beyond that is our reading of the structure, not confirmed chapter copy. Unverified

The full chapter list lives at the story mode hub.

What it teaches

  • Surprise indicators — reading the cue that says a target hasn't registered you.
  • Alert states — what escalates suspicion into a failed stealth condition.
  • Picking approach angles: the observe-position-act rhythm from Chapter 1, now with consequences.

Challenges

The chapter's famous credit is Challenge 6 — the Surprise-kill discipline test with the community's most-debated failure conditions. The rest of the chapter's challenge list is still being documented.

Tips

  • Learn the indicator here, deliberately: let a target spot you once just to see what escalation looks like. It's cheaper to learn on a throwaway run than during Challenge 6.
  • Sound matters more than it looks — several failure reports trace to sprinting the final approach. Walk your kills. Reported
  • If a stealth credit fails and you're sure the run was clean, check challenges not counting before re-running on tilt.
