How the block, mute & report system works

Updated Sep 11, 2026v1.0.1Verified1 min read

In the same September 10 thread that announced the Prestige challenge shutdown, the developers explained how moderation works in Halloween: The Game: it's a player-driven system built around block, mute, and report tools rather than active chat policing.

What that means in practice:

  • Mute silences a player's voice chat for you, immediately, mid-match.
  • Block keeps you from being matched with that player again where the system can avoid it.
  • Report flags an account for review — this is the path that can lead to actual penalties, so use it for genuine misconduct rather than losing a round.

The framing matters: don't expect an in-game moderator to intervene during a match. Your fastest tools are the ones on the player card — our step-by-step guide shows where they live on each platform.
